Kaw Point Lights

The Lewis and Clark Expedition is said to have arrived at Kaw Point in late June of 1804, just months after the United States had purchased the land as part of the Louisiana Purchase. The Expedition camped at the confluence of the Kansas and Missouri Rivers for three days to rest and make repairs. Today, the lights of Kansas City reflect on the rivers in ways Lewis and Clark could never even imagine.
