The Saga Motor Hotel
On Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena, on the route of the Rose Bowl Parade, is the Saga Motor Hotel. The Saga is the quintessential midcentury motel, complete with palm trees and a sparkling pool under the iconic 1950s neon sign. The Saga was designed by renowned architect, Harold Zook, and perfectly embodies the southern California, midcentury vibe. It is also one of the most warm and welcoming places we’ve encountered along Route 66.
