Oxbow Bend
Of all of the photos I’ve made, this is one of my favorites. I had set up my camera in the dark, waiting for the sun to come up. But it was a dreary, cloudy sunrise - the light flat and uninspiring. But patience can be a virtue. About 45 minutes later the sun poked through - it was like someone had flipped the switch. The entire landscape came alive. It lasted just a few brief moments, but I was there and I’ll never forget it.
